Our pet and home visiting service, was established in Hemel Hempstead during 1998 to offer a professional, home visiting/pet care service, for your cats and caged animals whilst you are away. This service includes caring for cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, hamsters, mice, chickens and some exotics and allows your pets to stay in familiar surroundings, keeping their daily routine and eating habits. They will also avoid contact with strange animals and exposure to contagious diseases, making it an excellent alternative to cattery's or kennels.
Animals thrive on routine and familiarity, and some can get extremely nervous when boarded in a kennel or cattery. Your home will also keep that 'lived-in' look, and deter criminal interest (we would also remind our clients, that we do not use marked cars, or wear uniforms, so as not to attract criminal interest).
On each visit your pets will be pampered, fed and watered, whilst litter trays and utensils are cleaned. In addition to looking after your pets, we will also take in post, open and close curtains, alternate lighting between rooms, and water household and patio plants, all inclusive of our standard rate. We will also put bins out for collection, send text messages if required, and leave a diary for your return. Please also remember, that you do not need to have a pet in order to use our services and our prices start from as little as £8.00 per visit in the Hemel Hempstead area.
Home Security
Home security is an essential part of our service, therefore our pet sitters do NOT travel in marked cars, or wear uniforms, so as not to attract criminal interest.
Initial Consultation Visit
This is free of charge and enables you to meet your prospective pet sitter and discuss the care that you require. It also allows your pet sitter to complete our paperwork, which includes the Veterinary Release Form, and our Contract.
Keys
We do retain keys at our clients request, or, if you prefer, they can be returned at the end of the assignment. When keys are retained however, it does enable us to continue a sit if our client is delayed, or there is an emergency. All keys are kept securely, and addresses and personal information are never attached.
Due to the rapid increase in fuel costs, we are now making a £5.00 charge for collection of keys.
Our service includes the following
- Cleaning of litter trays and cages
- Providing fresh water and food
- Watering of indoor and patio plants (greenhouses are charged extra according to the time taken)
- Alternating lighting between rooms and closing of curtains or blinds
- Bringing in post
- administering medication
- elderly pet care and those with special needs
- leaving a diary for your return
- sending text messages, if required
Security
- Cleaning areas used by pets
- Taking out rubbish
- Most importantly, lots of tender loving care
Please note, that there is no extra charge for administering medication, or injections and discounts are available for multiple pets.
