Unlike in-home boarding, becoming a live-in pet and house sitter offers the chance to break from your usual routine and to visit other parts of the country at no cost. You will also save on utility bills and the work offers excellent rates of pay for the right people.
You must have at least fifteen years experience caring for domestic pets, be a non-smoker, have your own transport, and be able to work approximately three to six months of each year. There would be breaks between each assignment, but should you prefer to work more frequently, this can be arranged, as we are busy throughout the year. Experience of domestic pets including dogs, cats, rabbits, and small furries is essential, but you can choose the type and number of pets you wish to care for.
You must be a trustworthy and responsible animal lover and be prepared to walk, groom and care for pets, generally keeping their daily routine and eating habits. Experience with exotics and livestock is useful, but not essential, since the majority of our clients have domestic pets.
We have a wide range of clients and all expect the very best of care, therefore our reputation cannot be compromised. You must also be active, versatile and able to cope in an emergency.
The clients property must not be left unoccupied for more than three hours per day, and never after 5 pm each evening, unless by prior arrangement. However, dog walking duties are not included in your three hours, so you will have ample opportunity to explore your new surroundings.
Home and dog sitting is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and revisit old friends, and you will be ready for your first assignment once your application process is complete. We are particularly interested in recruiting people/couples from the south of the country including Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, London, Kent and Sussex.
This type of work is ideally suited to people or couples who want to work during retirement, but all applications will be considered on merit. We must stress however, that we cannot consider any applicants that have other work commitments, or pets of their own, since they cannot accompany you on an assignment
For further information Tel 01525 220732, mobile 07765836846, or use our contact form to apply for an application form.
Due to the high level of applicants, we are only able to respond to successful candidates.
