Devon is in a beautiful area of the country and Richard and Irina are based in Torquay and been a wonderful asset to our dog sitting team. They live close to the sprawling beaches and lovely countryside and are much in demand from their regular clients. However, they are happy to take on new clients – time permitting.
I am sure that Richard would not object to my calling him an ‘old hand’ when it comes to pet sitting since he and Irina have been with us now since 2007. They often cross the border to the Jurassic coast, where they used to live in Weymouth, so have kept their regular clients in that area as well as those new clients in Devon.
Like all of our pet sitting team, Richard and Irina are able to deal with all manner of pets, great and small and cope with any emergency. Be it a burst pipe in the winter months, or a leaky garden pond, they are fazed by nothing and we regularly receive wonderful testimonials about the level of care they provide. One client did stress that our sitters are better vetted and have more experience than their child’s nanny! A compliment indeed.
Devon’s medieval towns and moorland national parks, make dog walking an absolute delight, not to mention the tiny pebbled coves and dog-friendly beaches. Richard will often hike the rugged coastal paths, but only exceeds clients regular timed walks, having sort permission. With elderly or infirmed dogs, it is important to maintain their regular walking routines, since a comfortable bed (or lap), is often a little more tempting when they reach their senior years.
